"Tate Moore is fucking psychotic." He stared at me blankly, like he hadn't just insulted himself. He snapped his gum, as my mouth hung open. Then something completely unexpected happened. He plucked the gum from his mouth and stuck it on my nose, thumb pressing it onto my skin until in stayed. I blinked in shock as he ducked forward and pressed his lips to mine. The kiss was short and brief, and he pulled away with that same expressionless look. I could feel the cool air drying the gum on my sniffer as he said, "Now, Poppy Dawson is fucking crazy, too."

It's hard to survive a world where everything wants to kill you. Every corner you turn, every decision you make, and every breath taken. There's always something lurking, something craving to end your life. But when the world absolutely goes to complete shit, what can you expect?

As children he made a promise to protect her, but never made good on that promise. He lived with that guilt as she lived with the disappointment. Neither one of them expected to be brought back together again, especially at the end of the world. It would seem fate wasn't through with them, and they'd have to not only find their place in the new world, but their place with each other. I will try to stick to the main story plot, but I will most likely be tweaking some of it around. What happens when one of the last freakshows comes to your town? Not only is it a grotesque event viewed for pleasure at a circus but one that harbors secrets and hidden evils behind the curtains. Scarlett didn't know what to think when she heard about the circus coming to her town; her town was small, rarely anything visited it. She never expected to be ripped from her life and forced into their society of freaks, struggling to keep their business.
