Arianna Houston is not your average girl living in a dangerous town. She's prepared, cautious and most of all, fearless. But when Arianna is suddenly kidnapped one afternoon, she finds herself getting tossed into the messy world of gangs and into the lives of these gangsters. Arianna has been living Downtown all her life. But as she learns more about her kidnappers and about what they do, she realizes that she never truly knew anything about her town at all and that maybe, their lives aren't so different from her's after all.

Lindsay Wilson was born different from everybody else. No, she's not a vampire, werewolf, or some super hero. But she can use her whole brain to function. Lindsay knows everything about everything. She has a perfect, photographic memory, and she has mastered every single sport under the sun. She graduated high school when she was seven. Yeah, seven. But now, Lindsay's mom is forcing her back into high school so she can live a normal teenage life. Too bad the only thing that Lindsay can't do is fit in.
