Wishtesters are the lowest of the low, the most pitiful beggars and crooks living on the fringes of society. And Faruq is itching to become one. Asking a wish of the Djinn, powerful beings who can grant almost anything the heart desires, is a privilege normally reserved for the exceedingly wealthy. But wishtesters may petition the Djinn without spending a single coin. The price for wishtesters is far greater than simple gold. **Best rank #143 in fantasy, #150 in adventure

Emma always knew she'd be the first female writer-actor-director to succeed in Hollywood. Instead, she's living in a windowless room in Brooklyn, working at a crappy celeb blog and writing all day about people with real lives. The only thing that gets her through the day is obsessively checking Twitter and Instagram for updates from her favorite celebrities and lifestyle bloggers. Then, one day, Lena Dunham appears on the cover of "Vogue," and she's everywhere. It's like Emma can't escape the "Girls" star — literally.

WINNER 2015 Wattys #JustWriteIt challenge. Oh my. What large teeth you have? "As you're pretty so be wise, wolves may lurk in every guise." Phobias; we all have them. Heights, Cats, men, women, crying children, Time. They take multiple annoying forms. Me; let's just say I could fill an encyclopedia. Hi; Cyra here. I'll go right ahead and tell you the moral of the story; never trust a stranger, even if it's only all in your head. The sweetest tongue most definitely has the sharpest tooth. Red Riding Hood has won a Watty. Thank you all.

Jess Knight likes her freedom. Despite being in jail for about sixty-five percent of her teenage life, she is in complete control. But there's only one problem: she doesn't know her purpose. One day, everything changes. Her reputation as the youngest and most connected solo street criminal gets her noticed by the illustrious crime society known as the Maryland Mafia, who offer her the deal she literally can't refuse. That same day, Jess is arrested by a junior officer at the downtown precinct. Something about Nick Bronson transforms the way Jess sees the world and she can't let him go. But is dating a cop the wisest move for a teenage criminal about to commit the dirtiest crime there is? One thing's for sure; life as a jailbird isn't always as free as it seems. AUTHOR'S NOTE: This story is one I've been writing on and off between the Rouge series, and I wanted to share it with you guys. It's a bit rough and still not completely finished, but I felt guilty for delaying Consuming Fire. What's it really about? Think Veronica Mars and the PCH Bikers, only instead of following the law, Jess breaks it. Cover by Isabella Modra
