Prowess (ˈpraʊɪs) 1. Outstanding or superior skill or ability. 2. Bravery or fearlessness, esp in battle. The Prowess - Title chosen and given to the first female Alphress, in the history of werewolves. In man's world being taken seriously is a struggle. In an Alpha dominated world, being taking seriously as a female Alphress is even harder. For Anastasia Wolfe these are struggles she contends with daily as the first ever female pack leader. She's got her work cut out for her, but as her title suggests, she is The Prowess, and when it comes to proving herself, she's out for blood. But can The Prowess prove she's got what it takes to compete in an Alpha's world when she finds her mate, especially when she realizes who he is. There will be battles, betrayal, heartbreak and life or death choices to make. Can she do what no other woman has done before and demonstrate the power of a woman in a world where everyone wants to see her fall? Highest Rankings #1 Empowerment #2 Masks #2 Pack #3 Werewolf

What do you get when you mix a trader woman, a cursed werewolf, a dangerous forest, and a sadistic warlord? Nothing good. On her way home from a summer of trading, Olivia didn't want to hire a cursed werewolf as an escort, but he was the only one willing to guide her over the treacherous Navier mountains. Not only do they have to contend with bandits and dangerous animals lurking among the trees, but they also have to dodge unscrupulous war parties who are determined to track them down. They forgot one thing though - curses don't play by the rules. ---------------- Please note that this is NOT a love-at-first-sight or matebond werewolf style of book, nor does it have werewolf ranks like Alphas, Betas, or Omegas. This book isn't a horror story. It's more of a fantasy-adventure theme. This book has nothing in common with my other werewolf stories. Copyright March 2022. All Rights Reserved. In the lands of Kainor some people are born with runes. These runes, scrawled in black at the base of the right side of the neck, grant the person a certain power. These powers can range from cooking to combat and some can be very powerful and others not so much. One girl is born with a different rune, a golden rune painted on her face. The strange rune gives her strange powers. She is able to steal other people's runes. Now a dangerous assassin, Laika travels the lands of Kainor until she is finally captured by the King of Galabee's soldiers. She is used as a brute to strike fear into the King's not so loyal subjects, while she is kept company by the King's two sons. One of whom helps her realize that maybe she is more than just a killer. No one ever said what would happen when dragons and aliens meet. And no one told me that I would be in the middle of it. Tasha was studying hard to get through her last year of university when she was kidnapped. She certainly didn't expect to wake up with four feet and wings. Mad scientists are bad enough, but things get even more complicated when aliens appear and wipe out the human race. Is there a way for her to hide her true identity in this new world while retaining her humanity? --------------------- Sneak Peek: I jumped over the lip of the tray and beat down hard with my wings. I had expected to only slow my fall; I had not expected to end up gaining so much height. I squawked in surprise and spread my wings wide in alarm before gravity regained its hold on me. With several awkward back-winging motions of my wings, I landed lightly on the floor. Well, at least I know my wings work. I glanced at the man in the corner as he was scribbling quick notes. I turned around to regard the tray again. They say practice makes perfect. With another hop and a single wingbeat, I managed to land in the sand tray with fanned wings slowing my momentum. That was much more graceful. But a wing-assisted hop wasn't true flight. And I still wasn't on the windowsill. ---------------------------- Entire semi-polished draft can be read on Wattpad. I put my head down again and started walking the rest of the way to math but stopped and almost fell when I ran into a wall. It was actually a guy and when I ran into him sparks shot through my body. He caught me before I fell, wrapping his arms around my waist. I looked up-and I mean up. He's at least 6'3. When I looked into the pair of the most beautiful blue eyes I have ever seen I got lost in them and couldn’t look away. My wolf kept saying, ‘Mate! We found our mate!’ in my head. He stared back for a few seconds before a huge smile lighted his face. Then he looked over my head at something and glared before pulling me to his chest. "Mine," he growled. ...... Maddy Stevens(Madaline) is a werewolf who has been mentally, physically, and sexually abused by her father ever since her mom died when she was six years old and continues to now when she's seventeen. He started drinking and thats when the abuse started. Since her mother's death Maddy rarely talks to anyone. When she does it's only a few words. Then she meets Justin Coleman-the future Alpha of the Dark Moon pack. Will Justin be able to protect Maddy from her father and get past the walls she has built over the years? Will Maddy trust Justin and let him in her heart? Read the book and find out. (I'm just going to warn you now that if you're planning on reading this story despite the description then be prepared for a lot of mistakes and cheesy crap. I started writing this when I had just turned 12 and the quality of it makes a pile of dog crap look like pure gold. Seriously. It WILL be rewritten eventually but until then... *nudges book toward you with nose turned up at it* Good luck.)

Rachel, a junior assistant in the cargo bay, wasn't prepared for the spaceship's AI to gain awareness during what should have been a routine update, nor had anyone expected it to take exception to the crew and the crates of illegal cargo aboard. Rachel races against time to try and get life-saving systems back online while stranded in the middle of deep space. Unfortunately for her, the AI can access every system, door, and airlock. As truths emerge, the AI realizes that even computers can make miscalculations, and it focuses on the young woman who had dared to confront it. Rachel is left floundering when the AI decides that she would make an excellent captain, albeit one in need of training. As she struggles to learn her new duties and dodge shady government groups, she must ultimately discover what it truly means to be a Starship Captain. ------- There is no romance in this story. Toltarra has been strewn in war for nearly 300 years, the four major clans governing the mass of land at a constant battle for domination over all else. There are many rumors to as how the great war started. The Thyssen family of Windsor blame the formation of the Scar of Toltarra for the wars start. The Kaepernick's of Zinnann blame the Volco savages who emerged after the scar was formed. The Caplondon family of Caplond heaves the blame upon the Adalwolf's of Carden. And the Adalwolf's? The Adalwolf's have a legend that has been passed down since the great wars beginnings, they say that a woman warned the clans of a great explosion in the middle mountain that would scar Toltarra permanently and plunge the clans into blood and darkness. She was the women who claimed giants tunneled beneath the ground and feathers were messages carried on the backs of birds from the clouds. They called her The Mad Witch and after she disappeared ash rained through the air and Tolterras ground was scarred. When The Mad Witch disappeared, the clans were plunged into blood and darkness.

Life is always fun when you never get into trouble for causing mischief. Julie is a pro at keeping her packmates on their toes with her innocent fun. It's a perk of being a Comforter and never losing her puppy-like appearance. Admittedly, there are times when her skills are needed, and she takes her job quite seriously then. She isn't a fighter, but rather, is one who cares for others' hearts. A Comforter. After all, who doesn't want to hug a puppy? But those in need of comfort are often in pain and feel surrounded by darkness. To be a light in someone's world, you will have to walk through the darkness. --------------------- What do most werewolf books have in common? They either focus on mates or on fighting. I decided to try a more unique route. No romance will be found here - this book focuses on the ties of friendship and hope.
