(Complete!!!) A Red Queen fan fiction that I also have up on Fanfiction. (please don't freak out, I do have a pen name on fan fiction and this is my story. Please don't think I copied and pasted, that would be horrible.) The Scarlet Guard has been driven deep into hiding after the disastrous attack on the capital, and Maven, the new King of Norta hunts them mercilessly. Their numbers have dwindled and with the new restrictions on the Reds, the rebellion and war they hope to incite seems impossible... Struggling with her inner demons, Mare Barrow has sworn herself to finding the other New Bloods like herself, and turing them into an army for the Scarlet Guard. They may be the only hope that the fledgling rebellion has. Her inner turmoil continues to mount though as she struggles once more over her feelings for Cal, the Traitor Prince who is in the custody of the Scarlet Guard and struggling with his own demons. As war looms on the horizon, they must either forgive each other to save what they love, or watch as everything they have ever worked for falls apart before them. Only one thing is certain in this new dawn: KNEEL OR BLEED.

This Maven's POV during The Red Queen. "I guess it could've been worse. I could've been a Red." Maven: His mother wants him to rule almost as much as he does. She has a plan to make it happen too. He is only told a little bit at a time. Everything was simple until the Little Lightning Girl showed up. He began to fall in love with her. He still wants to crown more than anything. But now he wants her too. *Every picture I use is not mine. It's from the Internet.*

I do as he says. I kneel. ____________ He reaches to my collarbone from the loose collar of my torn bloody shirt. His fingers trace the lines that form an M . My brand I want to scream at his touch. It burns. It hurts. It blinds me. Maven continues to examine it with his fingers,aware that his touch is a torture to me,"You remember who gave you this?" He whispers. "You remember who owns you?" You don't own me ,Maven, I want to tell him. But as feeling this pain becomes unbearable,I tell him the answer he wants . Maybe he stops the pain. "You"I say. He smiles deeply,nodding his head. "I thought you being stubborn was intriguing, I have a hard choice now though."he says pulling away to retreat to his throne. "Obedience suits you better." _________________ Mare was a sword.
