Violet Alswood, a sixteen year old girl, lives with her father in a small town called Eldahora. Her mother passed away when Violet was aged eight due to a brain tumor. Overwhelmed by grief, her father slipped into depression and started consuming large amounts of alcohol. As a result of this, she and her father drifted away from each other. Violet became feeling isolated and had no one to turn to when bullies taunted her nearly everyday. The main reason for this was that she had a strange defect in her left eye, which she tried her best to hide under a white eye patch. However, an unexpected phenomena occurs one day when Violet is walking home, changing her life completely.
