"If I'm too young to fall in love, why do you keep running through my brain?"
//
When you're a kid, all you want to do is grow up and when you're finally all grown up, all you want is to be a kid again.
And when you're a teenager, you don't know what you want. You're always either too young or too old for everything.
You're stuck in the middle.

Helena thinks she's a disappointment to her mother; that she'll never be the perfect daughter she expects her to be. She pretends not to care, but secretly she wishes she was more like her brother, Luke.
On top of that, Helena is beginning to realize that she's not the person she wants to be. She finds herself trying to find herself and in the process falling in love more than once and in more than one way.
Helena's world is changing before her eyes and she's running into roadblocks she's not sure she can get around but, in the words of her brother, you'll never be as young as you are now.
And maybe being 'too young' isn't as bad as she thinks it is.
