Dean has a roof over his head and food on the table. everything is meh. It's just the same with the Winchesters, Move house and sate, start new school then move again. Dean is used to this always moving due to his dad's job hunting down monsters. Not human monsters like rapist or murders, monsters that you were told as kid that they don't exist but really they do.
