Sequel to Discovering Love! Dan is only just now aware of the fact that he loves Phil Lester, but at the wrong moment, because Phil hates him. He makes that very clear, in the way he successfully ignores Dan. But Dan is desperate, because the longer he and Phil are separated, the more his heart is breaking, and pretty soon he won't be able to deal with it. Does he have what it takes to make Phil love him again? Or will he always be hated by the boy with the blue eyes.

Dan abuses Phil, but Phil still loves him unconditionally. Warnings: physical/emotional/sexual abuse, rape?, smut, swearing, fucking angst, it’s generally heartbreaking. I have already written some chapters and, it hurt me to write this - so bad. I actually considered crying halfway through a chapter because it’s just actually heartbreaking. It was hard to characterize Dan like this because I see him as nothing like this, but this is just a story.

Dan is a firm believer that love doesn't exist. Not in adults, and definitely not in high school. He detests silly love stories and petty relationships, posing as 'love', and nothing could possibly change his mind in that. But when new student Phil takes an intrest in Dan, he can't deny that he's interested in the boy. His bubbly personality and hopeless romantic ways draw Dan in.....and might just change his mind in the thoughts of love.

'Oh God Phil, I know you've messed up in the past, but this time you've really done it.' Dan and Phil go to a restaurant one November evening to visit Dan's parents. It all seems like a pleasant evening, until Phil accidentally exposes his relationship with Dan, who knows his parents are severely homophobic. Mistakes are made, and Phil ends up in hospital. Dan, alone, waits for weeks for Phil to wake up from his coma state, until one day, he decides he can't wait any longer, so he tries to end his life to be with Phil, whom he thinks is dead. Phil wakes up, only to find Dan is not by his side, but on his way to a bridge over the Thames as he prepares to jump into the murky waters and take his own life. ( WARNINGS: swearing, a few TWs, anger and violence )

Dan Howell. He's gay. Decent grades. Nice brother who cares for him and he cares for. And that's kind've what got him into this mess. He'd always protect his brother, even if he got hurt doing it. Which he did when his father raped him. Phil Lester. Well he's Phil Lester. His mom died when he was younger by tripping down the stairs. But his dad is great. Let's him be homeschooled so he can focus on grades and get into a good college so he can have a great life. He's always got then newest stuff to keep him happy and entertained. He's got a perfect life. With some dark secrets. But what will happen when these two meet? And under the circumstances they do? They could find love or hatred. Dan is happier than he could ever be, with his best friend Phil. Everything was in place, perfect, life was exciting again. Except everything seems different from Phil's side. Dan calls him names. Dan laughs behind his back. Dan humiliates him in front of everyone, and thus Phil just doesn't know how long he can take it. And then someone else comes onto the scene, things will completely turn on its head. Dan and Phil's happiness was meant to be short lived.
