A medieval Kingdom ruled by a widow, his daughter is the apple of his eye. The Queen's death bears a shadow over the King, and he must protect his daughter in fear the same fate will become of her. A visit from a neighbouring ally Kingdom, and all his prayers seemed answered. The Princess was old enough to wed, and by a stroke of serendipity, the Kingdom of Arden had a Prince. What the King didn't anticipate, was the Princess' fascination with the Arden knightess. She was to compete among the trials for the spot as the Princess' new protector, and instead of concentrating on her betrothal to the Prince, the Princess was enthralled far more with the Swordswoman. Will she marry for her kingdom, or listen to her heart?

"Sinners go to hell!" The preacher yelled and everyone in the room cheered. "They do not deserve a spot in heaven and they do not deserve to keep walking the streets! Sinning is a terrible thing! and what makes a sinner? a good person with a bad soul. Sinning.." He looks around the room. "comes in all different shapes and sizes. Cheating is a sin. Murder is a sin. Everything the bible tells you about is a sin!" It was hard sitting in this room filled with all these people. I kept my head down, avoiding everyone as they were cheering and shouting. Then I looked up and over at her. I watch her sit there, nodding at the preacher and agreeing to everything he was saying. I saw her husband sitting next to her with his arm around her shoulder, staring up at the man in front of everyone. That's when I caught her glance over at me, and in that split second.. I realized that I was a sinner.

"Oh my darling, when you smile, it is like a song" - "Obviously," She started. There was a nervous shake in her voice that made me tilt my head in her hands. "Obviously you don't understand the agreement." She repeated after quickly composing herself. I rolled my eyes, but let her continue. "Where you go, I go. Where I go, you go." She told me sternly. Her thumbs grazed my cheeks and heat rose on my skin where she touched. I couldn't tell if this was just Sophia being caring or if she was maybe feeling more. My brain told me that this was all a friendly gesture, but my body and it's stupid hormones were telling me that it was something more. And your brain can never really overcome true instincts. I moved closer towards her, shrinking the already limited space between us. This time it was Sophia's turn to blush which only made my smile grow larger. All I could think about was her lips meeting mine. (a new and improved skmw xx)
