Allegra is just a little more broken than everyone thinks she is. Being exposed to extreme loss at a young age, she is constantly fighting. Allegra struggles the real battle against anxiety and depression as living with her abusive relatives sap up every bit of strength. She has never had many people that she could call a friend, but when she meets Milo, the hard things start to fade. At least that's what she thought. Milo has always been smarter than everyone: he skipped second, fifth, and the entirety of middle school before attending college at the age of thirteen. His photographic memory is full of facts and stories, but the one thing he can't remember is how he became so smart. His father calls it a Gift. But frequent panic attacks and physical inability seem to convince Milo otherwise, and so far, he hasn't found any relief. Together, Milo and Allegra have created a safe haven for themselves, but when fate takes an unexpected turn, they may not stay together for as long as they thought.

This is a collection of original fairytales and fables. Some are funny, some tragic, and some whimsical. They are modern in ways, but also (I hope) timeless.
