In the days following of the death of River's grandfather, Riley Jones, she ventures upstairs to the attic of her childhood home, and what she finds is not what ever could have anticipated. It's impossible. She discovers a journal written by her grandfather entailing his exploits as a time traveler in the employ of a secret agency. Her grandfather really hadn't expected her to not investigate what he had truly been doing all those years, did he? She didn't think so either. First in the River's Tales Series.

Astrid runs away from home to fulfill her dream at the expense of losing everything she has, including the person who loved her the most. She wanted to break away from the fate that others chose for her. Will it all be worth her sacrifice? Or will she finally find what she's looking for?
