I pledge myself to you, my love, My life is no longer my own, My afterlife is unknown, If I'm fortunate, If I'm adequate, To be in the heavens, I'll plead for my home. Your eyes are my home, Your breath is my air, Your voice is my song, Your arms are my shrine, Your heart is my altar, Your smile is my prayer, Your hand is my prize, I ache to make you mine. I need you in every way, My rib is not in place. My certain heart calls you, My present, My future, My solace, My first and last, My onliest love. My other self, My life, 'I love you' is not enough. ** Melody Summer is a nineteen year old homeless girl with a tragic past. Shy and introverted with major insecurities, Melody aged out of foster care and was left to fend for herself in the concrete jungle of Manhattan. When she meets Akram Sadiq, the handsome Juilliard student, her life takes a very unexpected turn. ***This story is a draft so hopefully will be edited once finished. Wish me luck :)

From wingless birds to creative masters - voices can be silenced but there's nothing that can stop wild imagination when it strikes. So here's a small handful of the poetry I've been writing from my humble corner to the world at large. These poems have been arranged into a series that explores the ups and downs between losing one's voice and the triumph of finding the creative power within. I hope you'll enjoy this little poetic ride while it lasts. There's a new shopping-centre in the suburbs called Scrubber-Town. It's full of dodgy dealings, bad behaviour and larger-than-life characters. Some of these are: Komik kal, Kara-Lyn and Lainie and Janie, two BFF's who are roving-reporters for the monthly Scrubber-Town Saga magazine. Add to this the crazy mix of an all-girl gang, an unruly child-care centre and The Crockerie, the aged-care home across the road from Scrubber-Town, not forgetting Asteroid Travel, agents for the nation's new budget airline, Asteroid Air. Chaos accompanies all events at Scrubber-Town. It's politically incorrect and satirical, but was great fun to write. It has been suggested to me by several people that it would translate well to T.V. Hop on the specially painted pink-and-purple leopard-print bus and go shopping. While you're there, have a Raving Lunatic Cocktail or the coffee/giant sausage roll/cream-bun special on me. I promise a distracting, truly good-fun read. How could you not want to go and see for yourselves the phenomenon known as Scrubber-Town? Go on I dare you!

Six months ago, James brought his mother to the restaurant downstairs for her regular breakfast. James and I worked at the same bank. For some reason, he found it convenient to take me to work, which he did every day. He was the C.E.O and I was a customer relations officer. This my story of the day James and I decided our forever began, not as two souls, but one. --Sue Highest Rank: #479 in Sea (26/06/2018) #54 in Sunsets (11/09/2018) #3 in perfectdate (03/09/2018-04/09/2018) #7 in fastread (12/09/2018) (This short story was submitted as an entry for Wattpad Romance's Challenge 20 - The Perfect Date.)
