Inspired by the book noughts and crosses . This was my first personal 'real' favorite book I read and fell in love with. Just like noughts and crosses racism is very much alive, however black people were the slave owners and the Caucasian and pale white people were the slaves. Racism had just been abolished a couple of years ago and Nicki was one of the first black descendant's to fall in love with a 'mixed breed'. Drake. Drake both mixed with white and black heritage on top of that with Jewish beliefs, battles the stereotypical and racist remarks all to be with the woman that he loves. 'You're mixed but I love You' Shares a story of how influential views can take a toll on a relationship whether you like it or not. Both Nicki and Drake try their best to fight the negative views on their relationship, but not only do they fight the worlds perception Drake seems to have to fight Nicki's brainwashed views too.
