This is a fanfiction that uses anthropomorphic animals as the characters. If you're not into that, then I suggest you stop reading the description. Or if you're interested, then by all means, keep reading. _______________ The year is 2012, three years ago the Empire City event rocked the world, activating a gene which laid dormant in many people throughout the world. With this came the term "Conduit," naming any person who exempted superhuman abilities. The most widely known conduit is Cole MacGrath, a man who eliminated the criminal threats in Empire City. His tail is permanently etched into the annals of legend as he ventures to New Marais, helping the city back to civility by eliminating the fascist militia, the mutants running through the streets at night, and the cryopathic forced conduits. His solution, use Dr. Wolfe's RFI, Ray Field Inhibitor, to kill off the conduits... While sacrificing himself. But... Not every conduit died... And with no one with such a reputation as Cole to advocate for the conduits... Well, a genocide was in order.
