Sofia and her family are joining Prince Hugo and his family for their royal jubilee. Hugo's older brother, Axel, has reunited with Prince Roderick of Corona, an old friend from Royal Prep. Roderick is so fond of Hugo that he gives him a special dragonfly pin. But shortly afterwards, Hugo keeps getting a weird tummy ache that comes and goes. When Hugo is sent to bed, Sofia and Axel realize that the pin Roderick gave Hugo was making him sick. It turns out that it's the Pin of Achenheimer, a magically cursed pin that curses its bearer with intolerable pain in the stomach, and Roderick gave it to Hugo on purpose! Why would Roderick do such a thing?

When Axel gives Hugo the extra carabiners, Sofia suggests Hugo start a Princely Adventure Club for the princes at Royal Prep...even if it means she won't be in it because she's a princess. Amber and Hildegard become suspicious when Sofia acts secretive with Prince Axel. When the two princesses spy on them, they learn that Sofia is helping Axel with a secret surprise for his younger brother Hugo. Amber and Hildegard jump to conclusions and assume Sofia is in love with Axel! But is this really what they think it is, or is there an explanation for this?

Princess Athena has won the latest flying derby race, and her friends insist she celebrate by going to Prince Hugo's annual All Hallows Eve costume ball. Everyone is looking forward to it, especially Athena's sister Samantha, who's determined to win the costume contest for the third year in a row. But everyone has to make their own costumes, and Samantha doesn't know how to sew. When she sees Athena's beautiful costume, she becomes jealous and takes royal sorceress Lucinda's magic spell to make a butterfly costume. But it's actually a spell that turns Samantha into a human butterfly! Samantha doesn't know what to do since she took the spell without Lucinda's permission. Will she keep it a secret and remain a butterfly forever? Or will she come clean and risk her unfairly won trophy?

When Sofia sprains her ankle at the highland hootenanny at Royal Prep, Violet and Prince Hugo decide to be sympathetic for her by keeping her company. However, Amber is jealous of the attention Sofia is getting and decides to pretend to be sick to get more attention than her!

Princess Adara has recently transferred to Royal Prep, and she's taken an instant liking to Prince Hugo. But every time Sofia comes around, Hugo starts paying attention to her instead, which is enough for Adara to notice the spark between them. Since Hugo and Sofia are going to be in an ice-dancing competition, they'll be spending even more time getting ready. Adara becomes jealous of Sofia and does everything she can to make her look bad in front of Hugo. Will she go too far?

This takes place right after the episode "The Flying Crown". There's going to be a county fair coming to Royal Prep, and Amber, Hildegard, and Clio are really excited. Since Sofia and Hugo are going to participate in the county fair's flying derby race, the trio invites them to join the fun. However, Sofia and Hugo have to save their energy for the race, so Hugo decides to teach Sofia how to play guitar. Amber, Hildegard, and Clio become jealous of Sofia and fear that Hugo likes her more.
