The Hunger Games and the war are over and Panem is at peace once again. Katniss Everdeen is left in District 12 without her mother, her old friend Gale or her dear sister Prim. She is left, broken and with nothing left to live for until one day Peeta Mellark arrives back in the Victors Village. This is a fanfic about what I think would happen to Katniss and Peeta after the war in Mockingjay. I am a massive fan of The Hunger Games trilogy and all of the rights to characters and the storyline go to Suzzanne Collins. Hope you enjoy ☺

At 22, Katniss still does not know where her life is going, it could be spiralling downhill, or she could be just drunk. Her friends are getting married, however she is not. She is caught up in drinking and partying, all the fun stuff you can do when you are single. She uses Gale as a 'go to' guy, even though Gale wants more, he doesn't hesitate. New faces get in the way of Gale's prize, Katniss. The topic becomes heated. The baker's son and also one of the Seam's paramedics does not seem to pose much of a threat to Gale. Well, at least Gale does not think so. Most characters belong to Suzanne Collins.

~Before The Epilogue Katniss tries to make a life back in district 12 after the war but she keeps getting nightmares. She misses Peeta so much and wishes he was back from the capitol. Gale is in district 2 trying to get a job. Katniss is so upset what has happened with her life and she only has Haymitch now who is like her father.
