Many had thought that Atlantis had sunk into the sea. But instead, it had floated up into the sky. The Gods had deemed such a marvel of a place worthy enough to be brought up into the clouds with them. Jace Herondale is a young pilot, and an experimental aircraft constructor. While attempting to fly around the world, he went off course and was forced to land on an unknown mass in the sky. Captured by what appeared to be the "police force" of the unknown city, Jace is taken to the castle where he meets Clary, the ruler of Atlantis. And it's up to her, to decide his fate.

Clary Fray is a normal teenager living a normal life. She has her mom, her stepdad, and her three best friends; Simon, Isabelle and Alec. When she hears that the celebrity she despises most is attending her high school, she can't help but get angry. Alec on the other hand, is ecstatic,Izzy doesn't really care, and Simon is scared he will lose the girl he's had a crush on for years. Jace Herondale is the worlds most loved celebrity. He decides to take a break from the fans falling at his feet and the flashing lights to become a "normal teen". He notices the one girl who hates his guts, and takes a sudden interest. While Clary is constantly bothered by the golden boy, she finds herself falling for the gorgeous star.

Clary Fray is a 17 year old girl. Going into year 11(grade 11) at a completley new school, in a new town. She is forced to move into an institute for Shadow Hunters along side with her older brother Johnathon. She meets new people, makes friends, enemies, and trains in secret. She does her best to survive her new life and along with all of this, she fights a fight which she isn't sure she's ready for yet.

Entering her Junior year Clary Fray was perfectly happy staying in the background and shadows of her high school, but when three new students transfer in will she be able to stay out of the light?
