People live in constant fear of the many terrible towers across the land, built by her Majesty's decree to imprison any who dare question her. Bird's nothing but a girl from the north, but when someone she cares about is taken by the mad Queen's soldiers, she'll stop at nothing to save them. With nothing but her friends, a sled, and a mind full of songs, she sets out to get rid of the towers, once and for all. Not afraid of the outside world, as the palace was always very protected. No, she was afraid of herself and the darkness she saw when she looked in the mirror. But the fear only feeds the darkness, and soon she finds herself with powers she doesn't even know why she has, let alone how to control them. But, as Stella tries to unravel what she's becoming with the help of her closest friends in the secret club they created years ago, The Damsel Society, she's tossed into a whole new world of danger, one she never expected to get lost in. Sometimes, wars are much bigger that between kingdoms. Good versus Evil is a battle that fights in each of us. Only we can choose which side wins, in the end.
