Marinette is going to Shanghai to visit her relatives and she gets to bring her best friend, Alya, along. Adrien and his father are sent over to Shanghai for an important fashion show. Master Fu, sensing the Miraculouses have all relocated, takes the opportunity to have a relaxing vacation in Shanghai. All their plans are ruined when a museum curator's mythology exhibit is being shut down, filling him with indignation; the perfect target for an akuma. Can Ladybug and Chat Noir save the day? Or will Master Fu have to intervene with a new player in this game of cat and mouse with the dastardly Hawkmoth?

After finding out how to decipher the codes contained in the Miraculous book, Marinette sets out on a quest to find more information about the Miraculous jewels and how to defeat Hawkmoth.
