[Warning! Not edited!] We just got the news, that five people from our class would be allowed to have an exchange student come over from England. I was thrilled when I heard the news, and I really wanted to be one of them five. Luckily, my wish came true and I was one of the five, but what I didn't expect is to have the most snobby, self-centred, jerk for my British Exchange Student. Jace Nicholls, the very classy (so he thinks he is) British boy that I am stuck with for a week, worse is, that he has to stay in my house. As handsome as he is with his hair and sparkling eyes, I hate him. I thought it'd be fun, but this mean loser is making my life hell. I spend seven days with him, and I'm losing the will to live. Surprisingly, he kinda makes my heart race when I see him, but that's beside the point. I just need to last a week, and I'll never see him again. But at the same time, I don't want to let him go. I went from this. Nerd - A foolish or contemptible person who lacks social skills or is boringly studious. To this. Beautiful - Pleasing the senses or mind aesthetically, of a very high standard; excellent. My name is Kailey and I used to be one of those kids who was bullied and hated all throughout middle school. Well now this is high school and I won't allow it to happen any longer. I've been waiting all summer for school to start. I moved away last school year, but good news I'm back and with a whole different attitude.

For Carter Vance, popularity is a world that she has purposely distanced herself from for many years. Why feed in to the totally superficial, social hierarchy of high school? She's perfectly happy being an outsider. But when she's challenged to prove that anyone can be popular, she puts everything on the line to make a point - that popularity is as fickle and cliché as all the teen movies make it out to be. What she does instead is ruin her true friendships, hurt the only guy who has ever mattered, and dig herself a hole that's much more complicated than the plot of all of her favourite movies combined. {Book 1 in the Teenage Guide series}

High School. We've all been through it. We've all heard that super cliché story about how the Nerd grew her confidence and fell in love with the broken Bad Boy. We've all heard that super cliché story about how the Jock looks at his life differently and accidently starts to fall in love with the Basket Case. We've all heard that super cliché story about how the Rebel shows the Wallflower a new light to life. We've all heard it. We've all known it. I guess that's what makes it so cliché. This story in which you are about to embark on is not well known or cliché. It's different, that, I can assure you. This story is about me, the Mean Girl. This is about my life. This is about my first love. This is about my journey. This is about my confessions. My confessions of being a Mean Girl. © May 2014 All Rights Reserved.

In every stupid and cliché teen fiction story, there's always the blonde cheerleader that people think is a complete bitch and acts as the sinister antagonist of the story. Sorry to disappoint, but I'm that blonde cheerleader that people think is a complete bitch and acts as the sinister antagonist of the story. Is it my fault that I was born with this hair color or with the blue eyes? Is it my fault that I worked hard to be the leader of the cheer team? And how come there's always this goody-two-shoes who comes in and rains on my parade? Let's list off the criteria: Blonde? Obviously. Blue eyes? Like, as you say, "a reflection of the ocean" Cheerleader? Complete with the uniform. Bimbo? My grades beg to differ. A bitch? I'm not even going to deny it. Antagonist? Well, I'll let you be the judge of that.

If given the opportunity, what sixteen-year-old wouldn't jump at the chance to move in with a friend and live parent-free? Although maybe "opportunity" isn't the right word, since April had to tell her dad a tiny little untruth to make it happen (see #1: "Lied to Our Parents"). But she and her housemate Vi are totally responsible and able to take care of themselves. How they ended up "Skipping School" (#3), "Buying a Hot Tub" (#4), and, um, "Harboring a Fugitive" (#7) is a mystery to them. To get through the year, April will have to juggle a love triangle, learn to do her own laundry, and accept that her carefully constructed world just might be falling apart . . . one thing-she-shouldn't-have-done at a time. Until July 21st, the eBook of Ten Things We Did (and Probably Shouldn't Have) is only $1.99 on Amazon, B&N, Kobo and iTunes!
