Daryl Dixon is completely on his own. After the Saviors burn down Alexandria, he thinks that he is the only survivor. Living without the group that he has come to love, has left him as nothing more than a shell of the man he used to be. One day after a brutal fight, he stumbles upon a run-down shack in the woods. As he lay dying on the dirty floor, his life is saved by a complete stranger. These two loners find that living life together is so much better than doing it alone. I haven't written a story in the first person since Broken. It's not as easy as it sounds, but I enjoyed the challenge. This story has taken me months to write and I finished it just days after the Season 8 midseason finale. Any similarities to that episode are pure coincidence. I wrote the chapter (You'll know which one) months before Season8 even started. For anyone that is newly following me or reading my books, I write differently than most. You only start to get chapters once the entire story is written. And it finally is. I hope everyone enjoys Angel.

I never thought those kind of things existed. I hated the water and what scared me worse than the water was what was in it. I fell in love with a monster. One that was beneath the waves. Warning: Contains language, violence, and sexual content!!!

Daryl and Athena had been best friends since they were eleven years old. Daryl had been Athena's escape from hell that she called home. Being that kind of friend to someone; the person they run to when their mother has brought someone home and they tried something on you, the person they run to when their mother is drunk and not even questioning who she's about to hit, the person they run to when they're being picked on in school, the person they run to when they need a shoulder to cry on. That kind of friend could never leave. Until one day, he does. Athena's life unravels around her as her best friend and his big brother Merle send her off on a roller coaster of chaos. A roller coaster that takes her to the highest of buildings in New York, to the dirtiest of cells in America, from a plastic chair in the police station to a pew in a church, from school to buses traveling half the country and back. Athena has the weight of the world resting on her shoulders, but will she keep fighting, for her life, for that measly bit of hope she still has, for her best friends, for the one she truly loves or will she call it quits because God won't lighten the load or give her broader shoulders. But then again, who needs God when you have Daryl Dixon. #~#~# mature due to smut and softcore violence. (please dont read if you'd be uncomfortable with that) stick with me through the start it gets better:) there was once a sequel to this but i deleted it bc i hated it.

I was 20 years old when I completely packed my whole life and moved to Georgia. My mom supported my des ion but my dad on the other hand, had a different opinion. He thought it was dumb to move down there just for my favorite show being there. I applied for an internship on the show the walking dead and was chosen for the job. My mom was so excited, she loved it. My dad didn't want to lose his baby girl. My brother was expecting Lauren Cohan's number in a month which I thought was funny. I didn't think I'd probably get within 5 feet of the actual cast. I thought I'd just be helping Robert with coffee and other errands, but I didn't care I'd at least be in the same area as norman reedus and be able to watch it filmed. In this I am having Robert kirkman be the director

I'll probably figure the actual age later as I write this.** **DISCLAIMER: I do not own AMC's series The Walking Dead or any of its characters.**
