Aphmau, or Jessica, is an orphan who lives by herself, only a shiny eevee to keep her company as she survives in an abandoned house located in the middle of the forest. When her partner is injured,she has to rush to a Pokémon Centre that is in the city. While she waits for her friend to heal, a woman walks in. She invites Aphmau to the Pokémon Ranger Academy on a scholarship as only the richest can get into this certain academy. She accepts. She is put into a school where there are a group of boys who try to become her friend. They are known as the Sky Army. Together, they are destined to save the world but there are problems such as if our heroine will ever learn to trust a human being again and become their friends. Only time will tell. This is a Sky Army book. No MyStreet people involved. This follows the storyline of Pokémon Ranger, Shadows of Almia.

Aphmau was on the Jury of Nine, and she had used a fake name and kept her appearances a secret.
