COMPLETE // may occasionally be updated with drabbles, etc. The first time Niall Horan fell in love, he was seven years old. Since then, Niall's life has been defined by a series of extremely fortunate events: getting through auditions for The X Factor, becoming part of One Direction, a slew of number one singles and albums in almost every country on Earth, and a cabinet full of prestigious awards. But it's not the big moments of our lives that define us: it's the little ones in between. For Niall, all the little moments have been about Isla Boyne. Niall and Isla met when they were seven and although their lives took wildly different courses, they've never left each other's orbits. From Mullingar to Indonesia to London, through break-ups, make-ups, miscommunications, and messes, Niall and Isla always seem to find their way back to each other. Written in a series of short one-shot vignettes (ranging from a couple hundred words to a couple thousand each), Something About You is a series of those little moments that have defined Niall's life. One moment a day, every day, for 31 days. Niall and Isla's story begins: Monday, April 20, 2020.

On his way towards the rest of their friends in the booth by the back of the pub, Niall finally spots Aisling's auburn hair and glittery dress standing near the wooden table. He'd be lying if he didn't think that she looked quite pretty. Niall's always known Aisling to be pretty, in a way that he knows that thunder follows lightning during a storm and that the sun always shines the brightest in the summer. It was just a universal thing. But tonight, he finds that he's entirely hyperaware of Aisling's prettiness. And he isn't quite sure what to do about that. A (short) story about at blonde-haired boy and an auburn-haired girl trying to convince the world that they aren't lonely, and how time really isn't of the essence. thank you leigh for the cover

Harry Styles doesn't know much, but he does know two things. He knows that there's not many things a good cocktail can't fix, and he also knows that he can't stop thinking about the blonde-haired girl who he shamelessly flirts with during his shift every Friday evening. Willa Tillerson might know too much, to be fair. She knows that she lets work slowly take over her life, she knows that this work-life balance her friends talk about is nothing short of fiction, and she knows that she can't help but look forward to Friday's so that she can flirt with the handsome barman at the pub across the street. A short story about drinks and the people who make them, featuring a hint of pining and a dash of a (potential) happily ever after.

Niall Horan is tired (and slightly embarrassed) of being the only one in his circle who is still single. The people around him - his family, his friends, his colleagues - are either in love, getting married or starting a family. Although they are content with their lives, at least that's what they tell Niall, they can't seem to mind their own business and stop trying to set him up with someone they know. In their defence, they're just worried about him and want the best for him. If only he could find a way to make them stop... Alexandra Oh has just gotten out of a relationship with the guy she thought was the one and she's not looking to be in another relationship anytime soon. But she has a problem. A few months ago, when she thought things were great between her and her ex that shall not be named, she told her family and friends that she would introduce him to them. She will prove to everyone that her boyfriend is indeed real and not someone she makes up so they would stop pestering her about her love life. With said ex out of the picture now, she needs to find someone that could fill in the position. If only she could find someone willing to be her pretend boyfriend... or, the one where lies are told and lines get blurred

Ryan Walden, serial mover, children's toy enthusiast, and overall socially awkward twenty-seven year old, is completely content with being alone. Quarantining in her brand new flat will be nothing short of bearable for her, considering the only thing she needs to keep herself busy is her new job and her kitten, Luna. But things never tend to go her way. And when she makes a new friend in the form of a tiny human who thinks her clumsiness is the funniest thing he's ever seen (which, to be fair, is probably true), Ryan's finding out that being alone isn't all it's chalked up to be. Oh, and the fact that his father is unbearably attractive only causes Ryan to wonder how long she can handle being cooped up in this godforsaken apartment complex. The one in which Harry finds himself psychoanalyzing the quirky girl next door, wondering if the void in his heart can be filled with the simpler things in life. Featuring a curly-headed toddler, a friendly kitten, and enough awkward run-ins in carpeted hallways to put any romantic comedy to shame. (banner by leigh)

From the first moment Nora Priestley met Harry Styles, she knew that they were never destined to be friends. Coming from two separate worlds is putting it far too lightly-considering Harry's family owned a massive real estate empire and Nora and her mother were otherwise known as the help. Working hard to get what she wanted was practically instilled in her person, therefore crossing paths with Harry at boarding school was never supposed to go further than four years of unbearable acquaintanceship. But life has a funny way of never going according to plan, and somehow in the span of growing up and falling into place, Nora and Harry seem more interwoven than ever before. Fourteen years is a long time to know another person, and even though they've spent most of that time convincing everybody else that they hate each other, there's still that little spark buried deep inside of them that threatens to ignite with each year that passes between them. A story about a girl who likes movies more than she likes people, a boy who holds the world in the palm of his hands, three cities that hold a piece of them captive in the cracks of the pavement, and fourteen years of always being just close enough, but never nearly there. banner credit to the lovely eriza
