بعد حضور الحبيبين كريستين وجيمس لحفل زفاف أحد أصدقائهما، يقرران قضاء بعض الوقت في كوخ العطلات الذي يملكه والد جيمس. وبعد وصولهما، يخرج جيمس لشراء علبة سجائر ويترك كريستين بمفردها في الكوخ، وبعد رحيل جيمس تسمع كريستين طرقات متتالية على باب الكوخ فتحاول الاتصال بجيمس، فتكتشف أن الهاتف معطل. وتكتشف كريستين أن ثلاثة أشخاص يرتدون أقنعة غريبة يحاولون اقتحام الكوخ، فتشعر بالهلع وتركض إلى المطبخ لإحضار سكين. ومع عودة جيمس إلى الكوخ يحاول تهدئة كريستين ويبدأ في إقناعها بأن ما حدث قد يكون مجرد مجموعة من المراهقين تحاول المزاح معها، وهو لا يعرف بعد بالخطر الرهيب الذي يهدد حياتهما.
