Mermaid Dream .:rewritten:. (Coming Soon)
aethea
When you were young, and your parents told you to go jump off the dock, you were terrified. But once you made the plunge (stomach twisting, wind whistling, too scared to keep my eyes open) and came up for air, you discovered that you were still alive, and that it was actually kind of fun.
It feels like that first leap of faith all over again when your body starts changing in freaky ways, and you discover you're part sea-creature.
Once you get used to it though, the fact that you have a tail is kinda cool. It's like you're a little kid again, discovering all the fun you can have trying something new. Being a mermaid is fun.
Problem is, the changes don't just stop with weird eye color and enhanced senses. The more time you spend in the water, the less human you are. Soon, you're gonna have to make a choice.
When you were a child and you jumped, you stayed in the shallows. But suddenly you have the ability to go all the way down to the bottom.
How deep do you really want to go?
