After a mysterious girl washes up on shore, John Fire finds her. She remembers nothing about who she is. She only remembers her name. Paint. She has a wand in her boot but knows very little about it. It's up to John and his friends to help Paint remember who she is. She has to learn all the spells again and searches to find out who she really is. Meanwhile Alex and the others are mourning Paint's "death". They think she is dead and will never come back. Herobrine is angry with himself for being so stupid and letting Paint die. He just stood there and didn't save her. He's been isolated and won't talk to anyone. May refuses to believe that Paint is dead and searches for a tiny lead that could help her find her sister. When Herobrine says he sensed the same powers Paint had, the search begins.

Three strong wizards, Notch, Steve, and Herobrine, controlled the flow of magic; making sure to keep it balanced. Herobrine soon began to envy the control his brothers had. There are three gods, Steve as the innocent god, Notch as the detective god, and we can't forget about Herobrine as the traitor god. Two of the three main characters are the ones that are trying to get rid of all the traitors in Mineville all three however are all in college. The traitors will stop at nothing to destroy all of Mineville, and they out number the other two factions. The other two factions don't get along well but they have to in order to keep peace in the land.
