Every city has its claim to fame and for the city of Cytropolis it's their superheroes. But unlike the cities of Gotham and Central City, this isn't a good thing. Cytropolis is known far and wide as the city with the clumsiest and least influential superheroes ever. But it never mattered that much since the super villains were just as bad. That is, until recently when the villains decided to smarten up and open a super villain academy to train the newest generation (something that never occurred to the heroes). Luckily for them, Matt Miller has arrived. He may seem like an average, normal (even bordering on boring) seventeen-year-old boy, but when are things ever what they seem? He may be apathetic and bitter but he has super powers and he's kind of, well, powerful. He's the heroes only hope against the newest villain in town, Sinister Shadow, and he has no choice but to lend a hand (but he refuses to wear tights while he does it, he draws the line at tights). And with Matt's help (along with his little sister turned sidekick), the heroes just might win. *cover by @soundthealarm*

For 17 year old Benna Denman, it's hard enough being the president's daughter. And when she develops a telepathic Link, life gets even worse. Her father isn't impressed with this new evolutionary ability. It means he could lose control over people's communications - in a world without cell phones, publicly accessible internet, or a postal service, it's difficult for dissent to spread and uprising to organize. That's just the way he likes it. So when the government starts offering cash in exchange for these telepaths, and Benna is under suspicion by both her boyfriend and her powerful father, she knows she's in trouble. Upon discovering that the cold Dr. Frenchwood plans to use her as a lab rat to develop a cure for telepathy, Benna and her Link, a boy named Corin, decide to try to run... First Story I wrote cause I'm bored af. Here I go: He caught me by the neck and slammed me into the Ground. "C'mon Nobody is that the best you got? Your such a weakling. Can't believe you and Tyre are related." I felt his grip tighten and it black spots swam into my vision. I tried to say "stop" but nothing came out. I felt my consciousness fading. I began to panic and I tried pulling his arm off. That's where everything went wrong.

They were just a group of teens who barely knew each other. Who knew one day they’d be connected? Honestly, they never even imagined something like this could ever happen. They never even dreamed of having super powers. They thought it was impossible. Super powers don’t exist. No one’s able to control fire, tap into minds, freeze the world, change into anything, moving faster than visible to the eye, shock people with a touch, or cause swords to appear as if by magic. But I guess things change. Everyone’s opinions change. No one expected it, but when Nisath, Sahian, Vanessa, Julian, Vladimir, Elijah and Raul realize they have to come together, they work together to better themselves and the world. They were taught to work together not against, but it’s easier said than done. They are each individually different in their own unique way. Their powers are so different and distinct from each other, but will they be able to use that great power and come together as one?

For as long as Paul Phillips has been the superpowered Myke Phoenix, he has been plagued by Deinonychus, the impossible foe from a bygone era who is the embodiment of evil in this world. Now, on a rainy night not fit even for ducks, as the signs point to her return, Paul tells his new best friend the story of his first deadly encounter with the talking dinosaur - and how it almost was his last. This sixth episode in the 12-volume series of short stories that occur 18 years after The Adventures of Myke Phoenix brings us to a turning point in the saga, as the full implications of Deinonychus' return are revealed. The overall name of the series is "Myke Phoenix: Year of the Dinosaur," so here at the midpoint we see our main antagonist in all of her fierce glory. When I started writing Myke Phoenix stories, the first sequence was leading up to this story. Parts of this were written those 20 years ago, but completion eluded me until it came time to plot Deinonychus' return. Before she could return, we had to see how it all started. As I've written elsewhere, this is my "Serenity," referring the the film sequel to the TV series "Firefly." The story fills in many - but not all - of the gaps between the truncated end of "The Adventures of Myke Phoenix" and this series, which began with "The Song of the Serial Kisser." Here we see what Myke and his growing group of friends are dealing with. If you grow impatient with my posting the stories one by one here, you can always buy the complete set called "Myke Phoenix: Year of the Dinosaur" through Amazon or Kobo, in ebook or paperback, for a modest price. It took two decades to pry this story out of my brain, and once completed the rest seemed easy. The first five chapters set the stage; here is where the adventure really kicks in ...
