This is a story of a human who accidentally ventured into the realm of the enchanted creatures of our folk stories. No, he is not a half-blood. No, he is not needed to save their realm. This is not that kind of story. This is a story about making choices, and what it is like to see the unseen and live with them. This is actually my take on our story as human beings from the unseen's perspective. Welcome to Thera! Author's Note: This is a work of fiction, and to the best of the author's knowledge, a product of the author's imagination and is therefore owned by the author. The author wishes to thank the different references available online about the myths and legends used in this story, especially Edain McCoy's "A Witch's Guide to Faery Folk." The author twisted some of these, however, in order to fit the story. Some parts are inspired from the video games and movies that the author has played and watched over the years especially the Tales series, Golden Sun series, and the works of Tolkien and Rowling. Credits go to them and the people behind these fantastic games. They have contributed a lot in order for the author to picture a world where magical beings exist. The author tried his best to form a non-plagiarized work. Any exact resemblance to an existing work was purely accidental. Please inform the author immediately in such cases by sending a private message. Thank you. Started publishing the first chapter: November 03, 2015 Taken down on February 05, 2017 but republished the first page on February 06, 2017. Taken down again on October 20, 2020. The author needs to remember where he parked his pen. Republished the first chapter on October 22, 2020. Chapters will be released every week until the story is over. A man's name is important and Salip Pulaco has more than one. He's been called a pirate, a savage, a fool, and sometimes a hero, but a changed man? Now, that one is still up for debate... Feared by his enemies and loved by his people, Pulaco must find away to protect not only his family, but also his own chiefdom as his enemies descend towards him- enemies that range from an ambitious rival datu, a fleet of Conquistadores with enough fire power to burn down his village, an arrogant and spiteful princeling, an undeserving Regent, and many more. While his allies include a mysterious headhunter, a hot-head brother-in-law and a mixed-bag of warriors. This is a story of one's Identity, one's Legacy, one's hunger for Glory, one's longing for Peace and one's dream to live Free. A fantastical retelling of a Filipino classic with a dash of magic and a whole lot of blood set in Pre-Colonial Philippines.
