Serena Tatcher is not the popular type of girl in high school. Rather shy and studious, preferring to focus on her education rather than friends and boys. Her science teacher seems to take interest in her and soon the two get to know each other. Events bring them together and they inevitably fall in love with each other, their love being forbidden by law.
