Basically she was to lazy to do any of this herself. In return she never cared for for them and used them as servents. So when there is news about going to a new school their friends and them have to go and steal the magic wand of the fairy godmother so their parents can take over Auradon for revenge. Along the way their feelings for each other is explored and their fears would finally go away .
