Kaylee's parents don't care about her at all. Kaylee ends up in detention over Christmas break because she was late to school everyday. In her last day of detention Dale Earnhardt Junior picks her up and takes her to his little car part shop just outside of town that Kaylee runs when ever Dale is out racing or isn't around. Dale decided to adopt Kaylee so she could have a better future. They move Kaylee down to Moorseville, NC, and something big happens.
