The victims are alive, but they can't talk and thinking anymore, as if they just doll without the soul.. Chihiro suspected the culprit is the spirit.. And then, when the spirit attacked her and her friend, Himeko, she saved by certain person... A person who ever made the promise to her. NB: Sorry for my broken english and grammatical incorrect!
