Ash Ketchum is dead. The government, formed from the ashes of all the evil associations Ash had put a stop to, has made it illegal to train Pokémon without a special license. All hope has been lost for people and Pokémon worldwide, including Ash's friends. And yet.... As the ashes of the evils of the world have risen up, the ashes of good in the world rise up, too. Serena, instead of crumbling in her grief, has formed a secret society. Their mission? Help Pokémon and people hurt by the governments touch. They train Pokémon to help them, refusing to bend to the will of those who have harmed so many. But as time passes by, Serena is finding it harder to stay positive. The pressure of being a leader and the unending fear of being discovered continues to eat her away, little by little. But she must remind herself of something once said to her: "never give up".
