There is a small town out in the middle of nowhere, with two steep cliffs on either side, a path leading to another town and a forest opposite the path. The forest is lovely and lively, with beautiful clearings and babbling brooks. But there are dangerous creatures in the forest, creatures that have terrorized the village for centuries. These creatures are dragons, and they are said to be merciless to anyone who intrudes in their forest. To keep the dragons at bay, every year the village gathers up girls ranging from ages 16 to 18 and picks the names of 4 girls to be sent into the forest to be the dragons' mates. Lucy was too young to understand what she meant by " the right one ". But it all came clear to her when she transferred to a new school at Fiore high and a certain salmon haired boy necklace started to glow bright blue.
