District Nine was not known for it's victors. In fact, the last time they won the games was almost ten years ago, during the 66th annual Hunger Games. Vera Arlington had been the last one to bring her district honor, and she was expected to do it again as she is thrown into the Quarter Quell. Having barely making it out alive the first time, Vera see's it nearly impossible for her luck to be repeated. Then again, winning the hunger games wasn't exactly what she wanted, not after seeing how much it had changed her the first time. Losing so much at the hands of the capital, Vera decides to put her life in the hands of someone else. She puts her faith in the Mockingjay. [Catching Fire]
