Keir, a royal descendant of Fenrir, has one goal. To be the son his father always wanted him to be, and to be the commanding general of his own fleet to raid as a Viking. He had that one goal for years--until chance causes him to meet a nameless, terrified girl with nothing but rags covering her frozen, blue body. Something about Astrid lures him in like a cat to a bird, and soon he realizes that it isn't just the mystery surrounding her that draws him, but the fact that she's his mate--a mate his father promised to protect while taking her to their new territory. Instead, she dies along the way, leaving Keir broken, furious, and seeking revenge against the Valkyries who killed her...until he learns something that changes his life forever--and that his not-so-dead mate is actually alive, and has the attitude of the century. No longer is Astrid a meek, lost girl. She's a Valkyrie warrior who just so happens to hate Keir's guts. But when danger to her kind calls for action, she must aid her enemy, and question everything she ever knew about life, her allies...and the one Viking she can't resist. As the two find themselves working together, secrets come to the forefront, changing everything Keir knew about his life, his mate, and himself. Astrid resists him at every turn, but no matter what she thinks, Keir is her mate, and her attraction to him is undeniable. Danger finds them at every turn, and as Keir slowly breaks down the icy barriers Astrid has in place, their passions run hot and their fate binds together...

Instead of being the renowned beauty that she really is, she must help her sister gain "The Lion" of the Highlands favor, even though the feat seems impossible, for every word and look coming from him shows just how feral the man really is. A deadly Highlander shouldn't be forced to marry-but that's exactly what's happening to Kane "The Lion" Shaw. With a new squire, a leper of a lady living in his keep, and his neighboring highlanders beginning to stir with unease, Kane has a lot on his plate. But a Highlander never surrenders...and ignores the odd feelings his squire stirs inside of him. When Saeran, posing as a squire, is forced to be around "The Lion", the roughest, meanest, most barbarian man she's ever met, she is sure her ruse is hanging by a thread. When he begins to suspect what she really is, she makes the most dangerous decision...and finds that this Highlanders touch makes it harder and harder to deny what is happening between them, even while danger wars around them. A story of twins, of gargoyles, werewolves, arranged marriages and as a bonus has a really bad title and shirtless men on the cover. Hooray! Krystal de Monteacute, a sweet young eighteen year old coming onto her nineteenth birthday, and who goes by her real name, is nicknamed Cutie, is gorgeous, not too tall, not too short, with flawless pale skin, perfect golden curls and big blue eyes. She loves things, she loves to live the rich life, she's friendly to everyone, loves to do spontaneous things, and is happily awaiting her marraige to a spunky Gargoyle while having an affair with an Incubus. In other words, she's a bit of a pain in the ass. Her sister, Constance de Monteacute, goes by the name Kate Monty. She's more or less identical, sadly, but she doesn't spend hours on her 'perfect golden hair', her curls are frizzy, she has pimples, needs glasses, and the idea of being married to a Gargoyle with her sister makes her want to hurl. She likes to pretend she doesn't know her sister. She likes to pretend she isn't engaged. She's nice to her sister, Krystal is her sister after all, but somehow that world is just a bit too far away from reality for Kate. Rather than face conflict, which is going to happen when she flat out refuses to get married on her nineteenth birthday, she just left home. Got a job. Rented a room in a shared house. Made sure she earned her money, paid her bills on time, and dyed her hair a rocking brown. Working in a Library and spends most of her time putting away books in a slightly obsessive fashion, she's one exciting gal, and intends on making sure it stays this way.
