My name is Stormie Grimes. I'm eighteen years old, and I've never lived what anyone would call a normal life. I was adopted as a baby by Rick and Lori Grimes-yeah, those Grimes. For the first few years of my life, I thought I was just another kid growing up in Georgia. Then I turned five. That was when my powers showed up. At first, it was little things. Things moving when I got upset. Energy sparking from my hands. Knowing things I shouldn't have been able to know. But the older I got, the stronger my magic became. And it never stopped growing. When I was fifteen, I met Magnus Bane. Magnus knew immediately that there was something different about me. He taught me everything he could about magic, control, demons, Downworlders, and the Shadow World hidden right underneath the noses of ordinary people. Then we discovered the truth. My magic has no limit. No ceiling. No known end. And apparently, unlimited magic has a way of attracting trouble. It also attracted Magnus Bane, Jace Wayland, and Alec Lightwood. Three dangerously powerful men. Three completely different personalities. And somehow, all three of them became something far more complicated than friends. My love life was already turning into supernatural chaos when the world decided to make things worse. The dead started walking. Now Shadowhunters, warlocks, humans, demons, and walkers are all becoming part of the same nightmare. My dad is trying to keep our family alive, the Shadow World is realizing this apocalypse affects them too, and everyone wants answers about what I am and what my magic can do. Too bad for them. I don't take orders well. And with Jace, Alec, and Magnus standing beside me? I like our odds. Actually... I like our Better Odds.

Now Barry is fighting his way across blood-soaked roads to find his sister and the woman he never expected to need this much. The world may belong to the dead now. But the dead belong to them.

My name is Kris Garner. I'm 25 years old, eight months pregnant, and I live next door to Rick Grimes. Before everything went to hell, my biggest concern was getting through the last month of my pregnancy without losing my damn mind. Rick was the cop next door I trusted, and Shane Walsh was around enough that seeing him had become a normal part of my life. Then the world died. People started attacking each other. The dead refused to stay dead. Phones stopped working, streets became death traps. We are forced to face what's happening. There's no time to wait for someone to come save us. We have to move, gather what we can, and survive. And when the world strips everything else away, I start seeing the people around me differently. Especially Shane and Rick. They stay close. They protect me without treating me like I'm helpless. And somewhere between running from the dead, trying to build something worth surviving for, the lines between friendship, loyalty, and something much deeper begin to blur. The dead are walking. The old world is finished. And sometimes it takes the end of everything to finally make you open your eyes. Rick Grimes × Kris Garner × Shane Walsh

Walkers, chaos, survival, and a few very interesting people? Yeah... this is gonna be fun.

One second, I was living my normal life. The next? I was standing in the middle of Georgia with a dead woman trying to eat me. Yeah. Apparently I got dropped straight into The Walking Dead. The good news? I've watched the show. I know the people, the deaths, the betrayals, the places they shouldn't go, and most of the horrible crap waiting for them. The bad news? The second I start changing things, canon goes straight to hell. I'm not about to stand around and watch people die just because that's how the story originally went. If I can save someone, I will. If I know somebody is going to become a problem, I'm calling their ass out early. And if my interference completely destroys the timeline? Oh well. Rick Grimes and his group thought walkers were going to be their biggest problem. Then I showed up. New world. Wrong story. My rules.

My name is Alexa Grimes, and for the last few years, I've been living in the True Blood universe and fixing every damn thing I didn't like about it. Alcide? Alive. Eric? Alive, powerful, and walking in the sun. Sookie? She finally figured out that the sun does not shine out of her ass and that after everything she put them through, she doesn't get to have Alcide or Eric anymore. Things are finally the way they should be. I've built a life here. I have people I love, people I'd kill for, and one very large, very protective wolf who has become a whole lot more important to me than I ever planned. Then my magic starts warning me. Something is wrong. Not in this universe. In mine. The universe I came from. The one where my father, Rick Grimes, and everyone I left behind are about to have much bigger problems than relationship drama and supernatural politics. Because the dead are about to start walking. And if the apocalypse thinks I'm going to sit quietly in another universe while my family fights for their lives, it has seriously underestimated me. I already fixed one universe. Looks like it's time to fix another.

She's crazy-but not stupid. With long hot-pink hair, sharp grey eyes, powerful magic, and absolutely no filter, she has a habit of laughing at the worst possible moments. Some people think she's completely unhinged. Others quickly learn that there's a lot more going on behind that wicked smile than they first assumed. She loves hard, protects harder, and has a surprisingly big heart for people who actually deserve it. Children, innocent survivors, and anyone she considers family will always have a place beside her. But caring about people doesn't make her weak. The world ended, the dead started walking, and the old rules stopped mattering. She knows sometimes survival means doing things other people are too scared to do. She can joke with you, hug you, feed you, protect you-and then turn around and kill someone without hesitation if they threaten the people under her protection. Think chaotic energy with just enough common sense to know when to behave. Usually. She has magic strong enough to change the apocalypse, a personality nobody can control, and a very simple rule: Be good to her people, and she'll give you the world. Try to hurt them, and you better start running. Welcome to her beautiful chaos.

Ali Grimes is twenty-two years old, beautiful, dangerous, and completely loco. Being Rick Grimes' daughter doesn't mean she follows the law. In fact, her father being a cop means absolutely nothing to her. Ali has her own rules, her own kind of justice, and enough magic to make sure anyone who crosses her disappears without a trace. Threaten her family? She'll kill you. Touch someone she loves? She'll make sure they never find the body. Ali doesn't hesitate, doesn't scare easy, and definitely doesn't care whether people think she's gone too far. Most people have learned to keep their distance-and for good reason. There are only two people who can touch Ali without asking permission first: Shane Walsh and her little brother, Carl. Everyone else knows better than to try. Then the dead start walking. The world falls apart, laws become meaningless, and suddenly being feared might be exactly what keeps the Grimes family alive. Because walkers aren't the only monsters left in the world. And unfortunately for them... Ali Grimes is worse.

Kassidy grew up hearing the same jokes. Her family was crazy. Paranoid. Doomsday preppers wasting their lives preparing for something that would never happen. At nineteen, Kass inherited everything they left behind-the land, the house, livestock, solar power, wells, fuel, food, weapons, medical supplies, and years' worth of preparations hidden behind a heavily secured gate. Then the power went out. Not for an hour. Not for a day. Everywhere. Phones die. Gas pumps stop working. Stores are stripped bare. Hospitals begin failing. Atlanta starts tearing itself apart as ordinary people realize help isn't coming. And suddenly, Kassidy's family doesn't seem so crazy anymore. Rick Grimes knew Kass's father since school, and when the world begins falling apart, he knows exactly where there might still be food, clean water, and safety. But knowing Kassidy doesn't mean owning what belongs to her. Her property. Her supplies. Her rules. Rick and Shane can give advice. They can help protect the land. They can even tell her when they think she's wrong. What they cannot do is overrule her. There will be no council deciding who comes through her gate. No stranger gets welcomed inside because somebody feels sorry for them. Being family, being useful, or knowing Rick Grimes doesn't guarantee anyone a place. Kassidy decides. And at nineteen years old, with a level head, years of survival training, and a smart-ass mouth that gets worse every time someone questions her authority, she has no problem saying the one word people are going to learn to hate. No. There are no walkers coming. No dead rising from their graves. This time, the monsters are still alive. And when the grid falls, Kass is about to find out exactly how far people will go for what her family left behind.
