In the beginning, The Facility was a place to better young minds. To evolve the human race into something smarter, or more powerful. A place where unwanted children were sent. Children who would have otherwise been placed in an orphanage, where they wouldn't live.. but wouldn't die, either. The Facility was considered a "better place." It gave each child a meaning or a chance, whether they wanted it or not. Subject 1303 was one of these children. At only 14 his memories were erased, and at 16 he was admitted into The Facility. However, unlike the other children, he was no orphan.
