[Completed] The Royal Guard of the Empire has faithfully served Byzantia for nearly three centuries now. Hand picked from foreign lands, these guardsmen hold no political ties, carry no agendas, and bare no creeds except to those who sit upon the Onyx Throne. They are vanguards, protectors, loyalists. They are Vangen. Change has come to the Empire. An Empress sits upon the throne now, destroying any who would rebel against her with both fire and iron. To the east, her loyal Vangen work to quash the newest rebellion, until a letter arrives one day, marked with the Empresses seal. The contents within bare only dread and disturbance for the Guardsmen. The Black Ministry, the former Emperor's cabal of Sorcerers, have turned against the Empress. The Vangen's return is bittersweet. The city they once called home is now a battlefield, every street a choke-point. Every home a possible nesting ground for rebels. The Royal Guard will have to fight tooth and nail to put down the Ministry and protect the Empress, but the deeper they go, the harder the lines begin to blur. In a world where good and evil does not exist, where then does a man's loyalty lie? (Comments and Feedback are always appreciated)

Tales are not just tales. They are a part of the truth we must seek for and find, no matter the cost. "My mission is diplomacy, not murder." Angels are very rare creatures to see walk on Earth - that's certain. Malak must go as a Messenger of Peace to Liberal City of Yash to try and put an end to the war and to give freedom to the Kazjéh who've been fighting for it all their lives long and for generations, supported by the Yashivs and Benan in secret too, Sultane of Impure Demons, offering them a solution. But it turns out this solution doesn't mean what her pure mind thought it could mean and be used for. "I am the one who makes hell arise on the battlefields, but, please, do not fear me, as I am as well the one who's searching for paradise." Barin is a young man who's joined the Third Division of the Army of Justice when he was only eighteen. It's been long since that moment, but Barin still deludes himself into thinking he fights for the Djimanatá and for what his religion taught him all his life long. He was educated to believe that. But fate arranges a meeting for him in a Tavern of Sephrin with the Angel Malak and the Half Demon Donovan. Will he put an end to his regrets and doubts understanding what went wrong and how to fix it or simply escape them choosing damnation? "You're actually a nice person. Only a darker version of that. Because you don't want to show it and they don't want to understand you." Half Demon Donovan shares the huge powers of the devils but not their selfishness and points of view on life. More as a tradition rather than for vocation, he joined the Army of Justice and now is Grand Rector of the Fifth Division. But meeting Malak turns his world upside down too. It's true - a Demon should not seek for a home; he should act only on instincts and desires. But is it true that Fallen Angels cannot love? The sisters, one of the light and one of the dark, find themselves on the opposite sides of the conflict between the remnants of the ancient Kingdom of Hitithe and the evil empire of a vampiric Blood Lord. Their separate paths set them on a course where facing their destiny means ultimately facing each other. While one runs from this inevitability, the other has embraced it. And the fate of the world will depend upon which one shall ultimately claim it. Cover designed by Ray Gardener

Betrayal follows her, the Angels are against her, and the Devil is on her tail. As Lucifer's Daughter Abbegael must hide her identity from both Heaven and Hell if she is to survive. All she wants is to return home but when Lucifer's plan starts to take shape she realises she is the key to destroying Heaven and she may be the only one who can save it. Razakiel has been the Devil's right hand man ever since the Fall. He despises Lucifer and everything he's done, but when he discovers Abbegael's secret he finally has a chance to get home. Because sacrificing the Devil's daughter could be the one thing to save him and Heaven alike. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Trapped within the fiery depths of Hell, her only chance of escape is him; a stranger, the enemy. "I'm not going to hurt you," he growls in my ear, "Neither am I going to hand you over to that Bastard." I flinch at the anger in his voice and confusion rushes through me. "What?" I squeak, attempting to get air into my constricted lungs. He sighs, the warm air brushing against my neck, sending goose bumps skittering across my skin. "I'm not going to tell him you intend to escape. How can I when I plan to do the same thing?" My mind whirls as I attempt to understand what he is saying. He wants to escape? But he is one of Lucifer's most trusted. How does that even happen? He's lying. "I'm not lying. I needed him to trust me or I would never find a way to get out." "You know a way out? Wait. Did you just read my thoughts? How did you just read my thoughts? I thought you were a shield!" Once again his sigh of exasperation leaves goose bumps on my skin and a shiver running down my spine. "I am a shield. It just so happens that I'm a reader too. Yes, that is possible. Obviously. Now can I let you go, or are you going to try and kill me again?" © 2013 by Froggie27.
