Based off of the short horror story called "The Seven Barns". The trees intertwined with the ground creating millions of fingers. They teared at the soil, digging their way under many feet. They were menacing, making the 1900s colonial house seem minascule standing next to them. People would pass by the land, seemingly unaware of the masked beauty. The house was lost in time. The trees continuing to grow without a nurturing caretaker. The remarkable garden in the back completely hidden from the fast pace world around it. The family bought the house with their last savings. It was expensive, but they believed if they left their dream house, they would lose it. They took a treacherous leap of faith. The man with no name has been following them for years. Leading them, watching them, creating pain. An invisible monster, possessing a young girl is the only way this man with no name can take his revenge. By: -Kaylee

Life With a Half-Zombie Maggie, a young girl with a non-loving family, one that left her when the zombies came, is left to fend for herself when her bestfriend finds her alone in her locked down high school. Ryan, her half-zombie friend, finds a mom and daughter to help Maggie with her insanity after Ryan killled a boy, which Maggie calls 'Noah' and pretends he is still alive. How will Maggie survive through this horror? How will Ryan and Maggie not falll for each other as they are one of the only remaining people on Earth? EXCERPT FROM STORY Maggie searched the ocean of faces for any sign of relief that the school doors unlocked, none was shown. She hadn't realized that is where her life changed dramatically for the worst, and better. "One face still stands out to me," she tells the young, blond phsyciatrist, "the one with black eyes, midnight, lifeless black eyes."
