Sam and Dean just moved to a new school, and this time, they're here to stay. It's time to make some friends! Castiel comes from a large family. He lives with Chuck, who adopted 7 kids; Michael, Lucifer, Gabriel, Balthazar, Castiel, Anna, And Samandriel. Living with them is no picnic, but he's survived this long in peace, and he'll survive the rest of his time, not bothered by anyone at all. That doesn't go as planned when the families meet at school, and... Why do I even bother? Dean Winchester is nineteen years old and only a year out of high school when he gets sent to the hospital after a argument with his father. Nothing serious occurred, but Dean was required to spend the next few days under observation. While he is spending his time in the hospital of utter boredom, he meets Castiel, a young man the same age as him as a patient of cancer. Forming a quick bond, he begins visiting the boy even when he gets out, but is something more going on?

After both families need a fresh start, the Novaks and the Winchesters become neighbours. Dean and Castiel, however, refuse to talk to anybody but something brings them both out of their shells.

At eleven years old, Dean Winchester thinks he and Castiel will be best friends forever. One day, however, when Castiel shatters their friendship in one easy swoop, Dean finds himself fearing nothing will ever be the same between them again. Now seven years later, their paths cross again and together they find themselves figuring out who they truly are and who they were meant to be.
