Because of The Force Awakens, we know of the marriage between Han and Leia, which struggled, and eventually broke because of their son's rebellion. And we also know of how their son killed his father. But we know very little about Ben Solo's early life, before he was trained under Luke Skywalker, before he found the green crystal for his first lightsaber. Or even after that, before his obsession with his grandfather and Snoke's pull tugged him over into the dark side. And here it is.
