The characters are based on Vampire academy by Richelle Mead, whereas part of the plot is inspired by The Selection written by Kiera Cass. Dimitri Belikov is the King of Russia and Rosemarie Mazur (Rose or Roza) is the Princess of Turkey. There is no way that the two will cross paths. But when Rose left home with her two adopted brothers, Mason and Eddie Mazur, to Russia to escape an arranged marriage, she saw the poster of The Selection to become Dimitri's bride.
