A boy raised around religion and the discounts for sin, Phil Lester is definitely not one to go around looking for trouble. With his father being the vicar of their local church, Phil has a lot to live up to and has to keep his reputation high if he's to be accepted. He doesn't do parties or drinking; the thought of sex alone is enough to terrify him. So it's no wonder that when Dan Howell, a boy who embraces the life of parties and rebellious acts, shows up to join the church program, Phil starts having trouble keeping himself sane as he tries to teach Dan the path to God. Phil Lester is utterly disgusted at the sights of jellyfish. Since his tragic accident as a child at the aquarium, Phil refuses to even look at pictures. With several complaints, and refusals, his mother and him set up a 'single moms road trip' which consists of two week trip in Florida– all the way in the United States. Bringing along with a blonde bookie, who seeks to be not interested in human contact, a curly-haired rich snob who seemed to be making arts-and-crafts more than learning, and a boy with gorgeous brown eyes who is interested in penguins and wears boggins in the summer time. And then their flight gets delayed in an unknown town.

Dan Howell? That's His Royal Highness Daniel James Howell, heir to a small European country's throne, to you, pleb. A royal pain in the ass, too, apparently. And him? Well, he's just Phil: a down on his luck journalist, searching desperately for a news story that'll save him from losing his crappy job. And who are they? They're members of the Russell family, a once prestigious dynasty brought to ruins by Howell's powerful ancestors. Bitter and resentful, they eye Perigna's heir as means of getting revenge to an old and potent slight. What are the chances of all three meeting up in London, eh?

Dan is a firm believer that love doesn't exist. Not in adults, and definitely not in high school. He detests silly love stories and petty relationships, posing as 'love', and nothing could possibly change his mind in that. But when new student Phil takes an intrest in Dan, he can't deny that he's interested in the boy. His bubbly personality and hopeless romantic ways draw Dan in.....and might just change his mind in the thoughts of love.
