Lydia Martin, nineteen years old, lives in a trailer home with her mother, older brother Jacob, and younger brother Elias. Stiles' father wants to catch the guy who's putting graffiti all over town and charge him. Stiles wants to help him out and takes over the mini case. Lydia's the one going around town with her bag of spray paints, spraying her art onto buildings for everyone to see. When Stiles' and Lydia's worlds collide, their friends and family are pulled inside the mess and drama. When Scott McCall, Stiles' best friend, falls for Lydia's friend Allison, what will happen between him and the one who's loved him since they were in high school? What will happen to Stiles and Lydia when he's supposed to catch and turn her in?

Lydia discovers she's pregnant, but the situation becomes more complicated as the Dread Doctors learn about their unborn child, who is half-human and half-banshee. Allison's mother abandoned her at the hospital right after she was born. She was placed into the McCall home at age seven. Scott McCall's father left him and his mother when she finally told him to get out of the house. Scott was only five. Melissa told him to leave and come back when he got his priority straight. He never came back. Then came Stiles Stilinski, the newest member of the group. His father was an alcoholic who wouldn't come home at night. His mother was in the hospital, slowly dying. He was placed in the McCall home at age sixteen, a few years after everyone else. They're all misfits in their own ways. Always will be.
