Wake up to reality. The way things seem aren't always how they are. Snap out of the delusional state of thinking and tap into a greater sense of mind. Time is running out and truth is beginning to manifest itself over the false. Light ALWAYS overcomes darkness no matter what. A perfect example is walking into a room with the lights completely off and turning a flash light on so it illuminates the room, but if the situation was vice versa, (walking into a room with the lights turned on) then it isn't like you could throw darkness over the light to cover it. Makes sense right? Choose a side because you can't choose both. Whatever is done in the dark always gets exposed at the most perfect and unexpected time. Don't believe me? Just watch.. Although he has a bright future ahead of him, his goal is to not chase the dreams that his parents set out for him. Instead of wanting to be a doctor, or obtaining any other occupation most parents would want for their child, Kendrick's dream is to become a world known hip-hop recording artist. Kendrick wants to be able to do what he loves, which is music, for a living, but no one said the road to achieving this dream would be easy. Considering the fact that he shares the dream of many other guys his age, among many other obstacles, it's easy to get discouraged and give up. With the help of his best friend Jordin, though, Kendrick is determined to do what ever it takes to reach his goal. There's a time for EVERYTHING... My inspiration for writing this poem came from reading Psalms 1 & Psalms 23 in the Bible. The message/theme of it is that everyone naturally changes for their own reasoning and this is nothing we as humans can control. Some changes are for better while others are for worse. Struggles occur often resulting in pain, and misery, but we should still be thankful because these things make us stronger individuals as we journey through this temporary matrix that we call life. Creativity is key, and it is birthed by passion that only the artist can define (God). Be blessed and don't be deceived.

May God be with us all as we continue to expand our knowledge, wisdom, and understanding day after day mentally, physically, and spiritually. There's nothing more on time than God's timing, so best believe patience pays off in the long run. Accept your flaws and acknowledge your progression as you remember and embrace that God knows our imperfections more than we do ourselves. Be YOU. Be REAL. Be CREATIVE. Many times we focus on the temporary things that don't matter in life which are distractions. Having a few reality checks can play a huge and significant part in getting your priorities in order. Whatever it is that you're truly passionate about in life, believe in yourself and put in the necessary work to accomplish your goals. Stop worrying about pleasing other people around you and pursue God's plan for your life. You CANNOT and WILL NOT fail.
