Lara is trying to find the boy of her dreams. Literally. Ever since she was old enough to speak she'd been telling people the events of the future. She was a witch to some and an oracle to others. Every night she'd dream little bits of the future. Nothing important, just little things that meant nothing to anyone. But when she was five years old, things changed. Her dreams were invaded by a crimson haired boy who's face she's never seen. Then, just as she expected everything to be perfect, he was gone. Now she's on a hunt to find the boy who she thinks is the key to everything. But not just to her own life. Something else is going on where she lives. In the city that never sleeps. So Lara decides to try and find the cause of the chaos as well as continue her search for her crimson haired friend. That is happenings of the city, New York, in the year 2099.

Jade has been a runner practically her whole life. She started with her parents when she was five years old and has been doing it ever since. However after so long of enjoying it, she begins to hate it. After weeks of tolerating people whispering about her behind her back, Jade finally quits the school team. But, just when she thought it couldn't get any worse, she gets into a fight with her best friend Finn and the two of them being just as stubborn as the other, bring their friendship to a screeching halt. Then, after not looking at each other for five years, Jade is forced to sit through one of Finn's running competitions, which in his entire life, he had never lost a race. But could this be the first time when Casey, a boy from the competing team tries to steel Finn's medal, as well as destroy the friendship he is just starting to recover with Jade?
