Natalia Romanova has jumped from place to place, all her life, and through all of this, she has learned not to get attached, because you end up losing the one you love. This is best shown through James Buchanan Barnes, her love in the Red Room. When they get ripped apart, she is heartbroken, and when they find each other again, she promises not to get too close this time. Will she be able to keep this vow, and just stay friends, or will they fall in love again?

He barely survives the fall, but they find him and make him the perfect weapon. After being forced to fight his former best friend, he breaks free of his handlers and goes to find himself. With a little help, he gets revenge and ensures that they won't be able to take him again. His mission takes him to a museum, to abandoned bases, and finally back to Steve Rogers.

She always knew she would survive if SHIELD fell, but she never thought she would be part of the process. With the Avengers going their separate ways again and no SHIELD to return to, she goes under cover to reassess what brought her here, retracing the path from the Red Room to the Avengers and on to whatever she will do next.
