Welcome Wattpadders! This book will be short and to the point. I won’t bore you with mundane grammar rules or the crap you learn in English class, but I will offer simple suggestions on how to improve your writing. These are tips that I use every day when I sit down to write. Nothing fancy, just the basics. I can’t promise that your “hotness” will go up, but I can guarantee that you’ll be a step above the people who don’t implement these techniques. Also, I encourage you to link to this book when commenting on other’s work. Sometimes it can be draining typing out the same suggestions over and over. I’m not trying to gain votes or comments with this book, I’m just here to provide budding writers with simple methods to hone their skills. So, with that brief introduction out of the way, let’s figure out how to improve your stories on Wattpad!

There are hundreds of fantastic books about writing for hopeful authors to choose from, but most of them are boring, complicated, and bogged down by filler. This little book is brief, straight forward, and easy to understand. I hope it will serve as an easy-to-read manual to help serious writers perfect their craft. I should say right off the bat that I am NOT an expert; I forget my own tips all the time! However, I do know what generally works for me, so I thought I could pass it on to my friends at Wattpad. One last note: this book is for writers who have a basic understanding of grammar and story structure. If you’re interested in more fundamental steps you can take to write a great story, check out the companion to this book!

Why do we write? I write because words drive me crazy if I don't. At times, I am physically compelled to grab a pen and jot down my thoughts on paper. I write because it allows me to express my thoughts in a skilful way. I write to be the characters I am not. I write because I have to. It's simple. If you have that untold story inside you, it has to be told. Don't you all feel the same urge? We all write because we have something to say. Ideas percolating in our heads have to come out and get transferred on paper. With our words, we create a new world, one of our imaginations where we can be whatever we want. We can make readers fall in love with our characters or make them hate it by simply using words as our weapon. This book is a small effort to share my experiences of last few months on wattpad. It is for those beginners who are desperate to write but don't know where to start? How to start? Trust me; the most fearful moment is just before we start writing. This book will give answers to your questions related to writing. I am planning to take one topic at a time and give you basic information in simple words. I will keep on adding more sections as I receive your queries. I hope this will help you to unlock your dreams and let them transfer to reality by your fingers. Come and join me in this beautiful journey of an amazing craft called writing. Let's write together. 'Let's Write' is added to Wattpad's reading list, Wattpad 101. Genre: Non-Fiction. Summary: My thoughts on why people post stories on this site. I brought this essay back from the dust bin of forgotten memories after talking to a few disgruntled writers. And trust me, the essay is way better than the description. I promise! I pinky-swear it! ( ^_^ ) Status: *Complete!* ✓
